Universal Force Update "Find My"?

I recall that few year's back, if I had "Find my phone" open and locating a family member's phone, the app would continuously update the location as the person moved. That doesn't seem to work any more. Now he opposite is happening. I'll get someone's location, and then if I check 15 or 20 minutes later, Find My is stuck on the old location. I can't find a way to force it to update the location. I try X'ing out of the phone and re-clicking it or closing the app and re-opening. Eventually, it will update, but that may take minutes. Is there any way to force it to update the locations?
