We have a Timemachine and an Airport Express. The Airport express is setup to relay internet to a part of the house that can't see the Time machine. The network shows up under one name. Is there a way for me to tell my computer (wireless ;( ) to forcibly connect to the timemachine instead of the express. I dont like the extra lag i get from the express.

Instead of Express, do you mean to say Time Capsule?

You might try setting up a 2.4Ghz WiFi and a 5Ghz WiFi with two different names. Then only list the one you want to connect to in your computer's WiFi network settings.
