I have a problem with one of the websites I visit-- archives.newyorker.com. (It's paywalled)
The site is designed to presnet high resolution page spread views of the new yorker, back to the 1920s. It's also good for seeing the recent issues if you don't like the website.
I have a 5K imac. Essentailly the website determines that I have a 2560x1440 screen and gives me a sightly blurry image. If I reset the screen resolution to native resolution, I get something that's a real pleasure to browse, but it means that all of the usual macos widgets are tiny.
Is there some sort of hack I can use so that the mac accurately misrepresents the screen resolution to certain websites, while keeping the standard doubled resolution for everything else?
