I finally learned how to play iTunes library from my iPhone to the Ford Sync (2008) using the USB input. Now i need help with the following questions.

1 - Apparently Apple only allows backups from iTunes on my iMac to either CD or DVD, not flash drives. As you know, the Sync will not recognize DVD's so it takes a ton of CD's. I only need to update a few songs, not the entire library. Is there any way to select a playlist on the iMac and upload to a flash drive?

2 - When my iPhone is in Sync the iPod icon on the iPhone music control is locked and useless. You can select music from the music library using the Sync menu but i have not found a way to manage play options. The icons on the Sync will allow you to restart the song but the ability to restart in the middle of the song isn't there. The control shifts from iPhone to Sync. Is there a way to control Sync from the iPhone while connected?
