Hey, so before my uncle from china buys a macbook. I just want to make sure for him that during the new mac registration process we can choose chinese language right? And if we do choose it all of the osx will be displayed in chinese? What about the software we install like office or something?

Thanks.

You can choose Chinese (traditional/simplified) from the initial startup / registration and then any app that has a Chinese localization will provide Chinese menus and so on... it also has character entry using a Roman keyboard. But if he wants the physical keyboard that comes on Chinese macs, buying in the US, it might be a good idea to call Apple and ask them if they can do that for him first....

we just need the osx to display all in chinese and not english, a normal keyboard is fine as displaying chinese is more important to him than inputing chinese since there is the track pad and pin yin system on SL now.
