Hello.
I am coming from Brazil to London for a couple of days next month.
Any idea where I can find an unlocked iphone 3g around the city?

Thanks in advance guys.

Ebay

Unfortunately all iphones sold commercially are locked to O2. Even the PAYG versions.

You could buy a no contract phone from apple or O2 and then unlock it. Otherwise it would be eBay or something similar.

what about the shops around tottenham court rd? those payngo phones are overpriced.

If you managed to find an unlocked one (anywhere in the UK) it'll be far more overpriced than the Pay and Go option.

You will not find a "good value" unlocked iPhone in the UK. Sorry.

You'll be able to find Foreigner records in most music retailers in London. The HMV on Oxford Street is pretty good.

OP may get the advantage of weak sterling :). You can get iPhone from various O2 stores in london (2 in oxford street). Also I guess CarphoneWareHouse sells PAYG iPhone.

As long as you have PC with network access you can unlock the phone yourself.

PS. You may get £15 if you flog your PAYG sim (with unlimited data for 12 months) in ebay

Or many popular forums in UK has classifieds section, where you can place a wanted ad. I got my iPhone 3G for £270 (2 months old) from that route only
