Hello, so I am only posting this because I sold my Late 2011 Macbook Pro to my boss. When he set up his own account and made it an admin he had typed his password in wrong or something went wrong in the system. So me and him made a bet that I could fix it in one night without erasing everything on the computer, and I did it. So here is my process for any of you who may have the same problem or for anything that this may work. Please note that I did this purely on a whim and it worked for me. I am not responsible for anything that happens to your computer or your data. Proceed at your own risk.

(where there is a "_" it is a space, not an underscore)
1. Power off your computer
2. Hold "Command" and "S"
After all the coding scrolls through and it stops to where you can type, enter this (read above for special characters)
3.
mount_-uw_/ (then press "Enter")
rm_/var/db/.AppleSetupDone (then press "Enter")
shutdown_-h_now (then press "Enter")
4. Your computer should shut down, let it sit for a few seconds then press the power key.

That should have done it. Don't worry it should load up like a brand new computer, but it will not have lost any of the applications or past users (I don't know about RAM or PRAM as I had reset this prior to doing what I have just described). Go through the process to set up and account (the old accounts were not deleted when I did it). Once you have done this you should have just created another admin and if you entered your passcode in correctly you are done. Again you cannot get mad at me for anything going wrong.

Please give me any feedback or PM me with any questions.

Thanks for reading! Best of luck to you!
