This is not a "my 3GS is better than your 3G" thread... just an observation. I have been using my 3GS for a few weeks now.. I love it, but I think I have been taking its speed for granted. I just use it much much more than I did the 3G because no waiting for apps to open or load or work.

My wife has my old 3G. I was helping her do something yesterday and used it. I am shocked at how different it felt.

The moral of the story is that the 3G is fantastic. Just don't use the 3GS for any extended period of time if you are sticking with a 3G. The 3GS spoils it for you.

Yeah, I noticed that myself. I use my 3G now as an iPod Touch and you can definately see the difference. Its like going from my dual core laptop to my quad core desktop. Seems the same.

My wife still has her 3G. Might be fun to go back and look at the differences after a few weeks getting used to the 3GS.

I hope by next summer the iphone will not be an exclusive for ATT.
Nothing against ATT, but more competition will help bring data plans
down. Kills me how much cheaper they are in many countries.
$30 is ridiculous-should be $20 imo.

I know, I used my 3G which is jailbroken for a couple days. I could not wait to go back to my 3Gs. I never knew that 3 seconds could take so long :(.

+1 ^^^ Too funny Tay! I totally agree with you on this one....:p:p:p

Haha!

I felt the same way. I've estimated that my 3GS is 3-5 TIMES faster than my old 3G.

I remember the days when you could flip around thru a phone without waiting.

The more recent phones

The Moto L2: slight delay

RAZR: slightly longer delay

BB Curve: fairly instant, almost like my old Nokia 8260

3G: ugh "This thing is like a slow computer at times"

3GS: even better than the Curve and just as responsive as the 8260 :D. Very happy with it.
