forgotten password for itunes encryption, please help

I cant remember the password for the itunes encryption, not really bothered because of what i want to do but i need help.

Ok, I cant remember password so how do I now set up a new backup with new password?

I believe I need to set up as a new device, that way i can create a new backup and select a new password, but how do i do it?

Thanks to anyone that can help me. Its been driving me mad for past 4 hours now and im getting nowhere with it.

You should be able to go into the options for iTunes and delete the old backup. Then create a new one.

Ok, finally worked out how to delete the old backup.

Now how do i set up as a new device?????

What do you mean set up as a new device? If you go to Settings > General > Reset > Erase All Contest and Data, that will wipe your phone and it will be like a new device just bought from the store. Is that what you mean?

No, what i want to do is be able to backup my phone with a password that I can remeber.

I cant remember my password, so its pointless backing up my phone right?

So how can i backup my phone with a new password?
