Formac external hard drive any good?

Hello, I bought the same drive from the same company!

The company are quite large, I purchased my drive from their Chiswick store in West London.

As for the drive, it is quite large as there is space inside for another bare drive so if you need more storage later you can just add another 160gig drive. It also has a fan which runs continually, which I am sure is not needed unless you do install two drives. Have read somewhere that you can unplug the fan but have not bothered myself.

The drive seems fast enough and has worked perfectly in the year I have had it. At the time of purchase I did not know of the fan noise or large size so I was not 100% satisfied. As I use an Emac with it at times the last thing I needed was some more fan noise.

Still it is cheap though, would rate it 8/10. The company 9/10
