My iMac has been running a little slow recently. I think its time for a format.

Before I do this though I have a few questions.

I have a time machine backup on an external drive. When I back up from this, everything is the same right? Does this include safari favourites?

Do all the time machine backups stay on the drive, or does it go back to starting fresh and only having 1, the first, backup after you have formatted?

When I reinstall OSX do I only need the Snow Leopard disk or the Leopard disk as well?

Thanks for any help

Format? You mean reformat the hard-drive and reintstall the OS? You are talking about a Mac and not a Windows machine right? :p

A bit of spring cleaning using a tool such as Onyx should be fine.

Il give Onyx a go, but it has been quite a few years that I have had this and have never done a format.
