Dear Members;

I want to format my MBP 15" (non-unibody). I have all the Discs (leopard) that came with it. I also have the SL Upgrade Disk. I did not do this before so i do not know how to do it. Can anyone please help.

Insert the SL disc, boot from it by holding C before the Apple logo appears.

Once it boots, choose Disk Utility from the menu bar, and Erase.

Then Install normally.

Make sure you backup any important files first.

I assume the SL disc is the retail upgrade? Aka, the $29 disc with the Snow Leopard on the cover? If so, you can just stick that in, reboot holding down the C key, select Disk Utility from the Utilities menu, and use that to format your drive. Then just go into the installer and run it. It shouldn't take much more than 15-20 minutes.

And I want to say this just in case, but back up everything you care about, this will destroy any data on the laptop.
