Sorry if this has been asked before but I tried searching and couldn't find an answer.

Does anyone now how to correctly format gps or google coordinates in the iPhone address field so that when I click on it it will open Google Maps and pin it.
As it stands now the iPhone insists on putting the country at the end of each address and Google Maps will find no results. I then have t delete the country in the Google Maps for it to correctly find the location. It looks like you cannot leave the country field blank in contacts. You can leave it blank in the Mac address book but when it syncs to the iPhone the iPhone adds the default country i.e. United States.

What I want to to is put coordinates instead of an address in the iPhone contacts.

Does this make sense and can it be done without manually deleting the country?

Thanks for any help.
