Right, hence the reason why i would like two partitions. I should sepcify that this is an external drive already formatted to NTFS. I was hoping there was someone else on here that has done this before or at least had the know how to provide a little guidance.
 
If you want only a NTFS and a FAT32 partition on the drive, Put it in a PC to partition it. Don't expect a Mac to write to or to reliably read the NTFS partition.

OSX cannot modify a NTFS partition, other than to remove the partition. Then, the Mac can create Linux, Mac HFS or FAT32 partitions but NOT (unless you do it through BootCamp) a NTFS partition.

Bootcamp with Windows can format a NTFS partition on a Mac drive for the Windows area, but this has to be an INTERNAL hard drive.
