I have a bunch of old floppy disks with date and photos on them. If I want to format them and remove the data how do I do that on my iMac? ( I have an external floppy disk drive). On windows it was pretty simple to do but not sure how to do it on a Mac. Do you use disk utility?
Thanks for a reply

Thanks for the reply but I don't see any way to erase what's on the floppy. The floppy was created on a windows computer. I guess I can just format them on a windows computer, erase the data and reuse the floppy for whatever reason.

is more effective at removing data than formatting.;)
