Im upgrading the HD in my PS4 and I need to download a FAT32 software file onto my macbook and transfer it to the PS4 via a usb memory stick.

Im I correct in thinking that I first need to format the usb stick to MS DOS so that it will also be compatible with the PS4?

Thanks.

I would think that's a safe bet, yeah.

If you first check the format of the USB stick, you'll probably find it's already FAT32 format (most are pre-formatted that way), unless you formatted it differently yourself. You should be able to just drag the file to the USB drive and you're good to go. FAT32 is a format that is readable and writable from both OS X and Windows.
