A while ago I bought an external hard drive. At the time, I formatted half of it in UFS using Disk Utility, leaving the rest as empty space. Now, as far as I can tell, I can't format the rest to create a new partition without erasing the already extant volume!
Is there any way to format the free space while leaving the rest untouched, maybe using FDISK or a LiveCD (although preferably using Disk Utility)?
