Formatting HDD

So, I finally setup my external hdd with multiple partitions and just left a big chunk of space open to use as my Mac (HFS+) partition. Problem is, opened up Disk Utility on my new MBP and the blank space isn't showing. Basically, what I want to do is find a way to partition the leftover space as its own HFS+ partition for backup purposes without erasing the other partitions. If I have to partition the blank space as Fat32, then repartition that partition as HFS+ that's fine but I'm just seeking a solution. Thanks!

Nevermind, figured it out. I still can't believe how easy that was, +1 for Mac OS.
