Theres a guy on ebay who is selling a lacie hard drive i want to get, but he says it was originally formatted for Mac use, and he isnt sure if it can be reformatted for PC use, is this possible to do and how? is it as simply as hooking it up to a PC, and formatting through the disk manager in windows?

you should be able to format it whithout a problem. Using windows XP or Disk Utility on Mac OS X. if you want it to remain usable for both systems you'll have to format it in Fat32
