I'm a PC - and a photographer...yes I know DUH!!
.....When the new 3.0 4 GB iMac arrives, I will first do an update, then I want to configure the internal 1TB and LaCie 750 firewire 800 external for use with Photoshop and Nikon Capture Nx2. (Digital Image retouching)
The external is now formatted NTFS and Fat 32 for use in my PC. Once I hook up the external to the iMAC, I will move data to the internal on the iMac then confirm that everything went ok.
Using the internal for OS and Apps and the external for a scratch disc/cache and backup, how should I partition/format these for max performance??
What I would like to do is format the external HD to HFS+ then get a plugin for the PC so I can still network with the iMAC.
The largest image size I am now working with is about 20MB, but that will surely grow.
