Forum comment privileges

On some articles, when I try to comment, I am told I do not have sufficient privileges to comment. I have searched the site for an answer and can not find anything. It only happens on some articles and not on others. Can someone explain this to me and how it can be remedied so I have full posting privileges? Thank you.

Only users with a history of 100 posts and membership for at least 1 month can post in the Political News forum.

I'm guessing you are trying to post in the Political News section and you don't have enough posts yet. Above quote is from the FAQ.
