Forum hosting services/sites

I want to set up an online discussion forum (similar to this one) for a non-profit that I work for. Can anyone recommend a site that does forum hosting? I've found a ton of them, but it's hard to tell how reliable they are. I also wouldn't mind paying around $10 a month or so for added security or other features.

I didn't have the best luck with ASO. I know a lot of people do, so I think I just had a dud server. It can happen with any host.

I currently host my forums with HostGator, and couldn't be happier.

Generally you just need a hosting service that supports PHP. Check the sticky at the top of the page.
