For anyone else, that is?

Things from here are working extremely intermittently and slowly...

...did Arn forget to top up the meter again? :D

So far today, things seem to have been ok. But over the last few days, I was noticing some lags - especially with the front page loading. Also, when in the forums, the tabs at the top (MR, Page 2, Buyer's Guide etc) would never completely load. I thought it may have just been my internet connection.

I had issues earlier (it's not just BV going crazy...:p ) - Safari said that the 'server stopped responding', and I couldn't get on for about 30 minutes earlier this morning (around 8:30 a.m. MST - or two hours before this post).

All's well now tho :)

Going? Gone, more like... as per usual, whenever you try to show someone something is broken, it starts working again.

Things were well stuffed up before... honestly.

Have a pear cider. <hands BV a Kloppenburg>. It makes things...simpler. ;)

Actually, yesterday there was a time when the forums weren't loading for a while. I had to go off and do something else. It was weird. :p

Just slowed down for me a bit, and some of the menus aren't loading properly.

Yeah, maybe I need more fibre...

This has happened before and I think I recall being told that the menus are kept on a different server to the rest of the forum pages, with the main page. At the moment, the main page is down for me too. :(

For the past day or two I have been having mdjew's menu problem. Also pages do seem to be loading slowly or not at all right now.

Front page is down for me.

I'm experiencing the pages loading slowly problem. The progress indicator in the address bar (Safari) is still only showing this page as about half loaded.

Oh, okay, it just finished loading but I'm getting 'timed out' errors on the following images on this page:

http://images.macrumors.com/css/im/left_both.gif
http://images.macrumors.com/css/im/right_both.gif

It's all running like poo again. Someone's obviously upgraded the servers to Windows ME.

Funny how it was like this at the same time yesterday but was so much better 8-12 hours later.

Oh yes, mine now looks like mad jew's screen grab... menus not loading properly, tab graphics and main MR logo are missing.

Typical, I had just swapped the images on the forums over to the MacRumorsLive servers so at least the forums would be ok and then the main server comes back up all by itself (either that or arn is hiding somewhere...). However, I shall leave it on MRL for the moment just in case.

*scratches head* I only swapped it over to MacRumorsLive 15 minutes ago... and those certainly shouldn't have been timing out in any case.

Sure looked like it. I actually thought it was something at this end at first, I even rebooted!

Macrumors.com times out very late at night for me. It is usually for a brief time between 3:00 and 4:00 CST. This has happened at least 5 times now.

That might be due to some nightly maintenance that the servers tend to do, although it certainly shouldn't cause it to time out completely.

I've noticed on the front page that the forum threads havent changed in a while.

Well spotted, looks like there's still something up from the hiccup it had this morning. Shall investigate :)
