Foucs stacking?

Is anyone doing focus stacking for landscapes? I know it's getting pretty common in macro photography, but I don't shoot that much macro. I'm interested in Helicon Focus- I'd like to be able to get DoF past f/11 without worrying about diffraction on landscapes- does anyone have any experience shooting multiple focus images? What should I look out for in terms of number of images, masking and challenges?
