Hi,

I'm not sure if this was already mentioned somewhere. I found a cool gesture with the touchpad and lion (not sure if it also works with Snow Leopard):

One finger:
swipe from top left corner to bottom right corner -> turn off the screen
swipe a reversed direction to turn it on back again

Hope it helps

I think you have turned on the bottom right screen corner for Display Sleep. The settings is found in System Preferences -> Mission Control -> Hot Corners.

Yeah ok, indeed! I set the screen to sleep in the bottom right corner. My question is why the screen doesn't sleep when I press the bottom right corner, but only does when I swipe?

I have this set up for another corner. I started using it when I used a Macbook Air, as I could not use the keyboard shortcut for sleep (no eject button).
