On a busy street not directly in front of any residence, office or restaurant I found a single left AirPod and feel bad for the owner, since I constantly fear dropping a beloved AirPod.

I doubt the individual that lost it will see this post so I wanted the wisdom of the crowd to see if there is anyway to identify the owner. Sadly the AirPod itself has no identifying serial number and Apple simply told me the owner can visit their store and purchase a single AirPod replacement.

I’m assuming a single AirPod has no value otherwise I would be content to pass it along to a macrumors user that happened to have a right AirPod and charging case but lost their left.

Any ideas?

There is nothing you can do with it. Personally, I would just discard it, unless you wanted to use it for yourself (If it even works properly). But I certainly would not want to use a secondhand AirPod that I found in the street, that was in some strangers ear prior.

Post on Reddit. These types of things get posted on reddit and have good luck finding the owner. Not sure how you can even verify this though?
