Apple doesn't sell remanufactured iPhones. They're only available as white box replacements.
All returned iPhones get refurbished/remanufactured to become white box replacements, including those returned within the 14-day period still sealed. They don't take any chance lest someone swaps it out and re-seals the box.

My pre-order iPhone just came today, but I found one in store a week ago so I'll just be returning the pre-ordered one. I thought I would be doing Apple a favor leaving it completely sealed so they could just sell it to someone else in that same store. Guess not.
Apple doesn't sell returned or refurbished/re-manufactured phones like JayLenochiniMac stated in his post. You should have grabbed it while you could because it's more than likely gone by now. I happened to see a T-Mobile 256GB iPhone 7 Plus in Black tonight but the store is about 4 hours from me plus my Jet Black 256GB Plus will be delivered on Tuesday anyway.
If you see the iPhone you want then grab it right then, don't wait because who knows when another will come up but they are starting to get phones out faster now it seems...
