In case anybody is interested I was in the El Cerrito Japanese
dollar store (San Francisco Bay Area) called Ichiban Kan and for only $2.00 I picked up a padded zipper case that fits the 13 inch Macbook Air quite nicely.
It is a black cushioned thing with a zipper that extends fully on one side and continues down a second side. It fits the long side of the laptop perfectly and on the short side the case extends only about an inch beyond the laptop.
The store has at least 2 locations in San Francisco. The store I went to had only about 2 left.
Anybody have other ideas for protecting there laptop when on the road that does not involve a lot of money?
