Hello,

I registered here today because I was googling around and saw many posts leading to this forum about finding/losing iPods/iPhones/iTouch, etc. I found an iPod Nano 5G Blue awhile ago and I have been trying to look for ways to contact the owner.

Whenever I try to turn the iPod Nano on, I get an error message that tells me to "Use iTunes to Restore," so I cannot look on it to see if there is any information on the Nano, such as a name or contacts. I am somewhat afraid of plugging the Nano into my computer to restore it to get the information because I am not sure how missing properly works. I can still see the serial number on the back of it clearly, though.

Do you guys have any advice on what I should do? If I call the Apple store to report the serial number, how does that work? Thanks in advance for the help!
