I think I purchased this White 30gb iPod video back in 2003, used it maybe 5 times before it got packed up into a box when we moved. No scratches, looks perfect! lol

How long does this bad boy have to charge via usb before it will turn on? It's just sitting with a battery logo and a bolt going through it for 20 minutes now.

If you haven't used it since it came out, the battery is likely completely toast and will need replacing. Can't expect a 5-6 year old battery to still take a charge. (iPod Video came out in 2005, not 2003.)

I've actually bought the iPod Mini in 2003 and used it countless times. I stopped using it in 2005, then I found it lying around in my house about a year ago. It worked perfectly fine!

I just had to update some stuff on the iTunes & charge it for a little while. Oh yeah, I also had to reset the iPod using iTunes. It should be fine after that. Unless you've kept it in harsh weather conditions.

Oddly enough, my iPod Video from 2005 is no longer working (dead hard drive or something), yet my iPod mini from ~2004 is still working well.

I recently found my 3rd gen nano that went wouldn't turn on and I went to plug it in and, what do ya know? It works! My battery only lasts a couple hours now, but it's cool to see what music you had on it even from a couple years ago
