So I was digging around in my basement the other week and I found my old Macintosh TV and thought "wow that is awesome, I wish I remember what went wrong with this thing!" Well I go to turn it on to find out just now and wouldn't you know this thing works perfectly!! I know a few people wanted to add this to their collection, so what do you think? Sell it or keep it? (not much of a collector of anything previous to iMacs!)

If you're not a collector, then i'd say sell it. The TV is easily the most collectable Mac there is behind the TAM. Assuming its in good condition with the black keyboard, mouse, and remote I would bet $400 could be made off it.

any pics of this?

Yeah I will post some pics as soon as the wife brings our camera back from the trip! It is in very good condition, the only problem is I am going to have to find the remote! I know I see it around once every year or so! Time to start digging!!

Hey,

I am in Fort Myers FL. I have a Mac TV as well.. I hate to pitch it but i need the space, what do you think i should do with it? I was going to sell it but you can only get about $50 for them plus they weigh so much it would be difficult to ship without original box

haha I actually forgot all about this but if anyone still wants to see pictures...

Macintosh TV Software 7.5
1 MB rom
8 MB ram
160 MB Hard Drive (Big back then!)

Wow, wow.... and.... WOW!

I've always wanted one of these. Never seen the remote, nor that series of keyboard in black. So what if it's only an '030 CPU. sigh :(

At least it will never go yellow! ;)

Yeah the remote is pretty cool, if you had a Sony TV back in the day the same remote could be used for it also!

I would keep definitely keep a Mac TV. I think you have 1 of only 10,000 ever made.

I recycled my old Performa 550 after some water damage. Now that I think about it I wish I tried to start it up and see if it sill worked or atleast save some of the memory/ram/hard drive for some reason or another.

Well I think I am going to try and find someone who is missing the macintosh TV out of their collection (like an Apple museum or something) and see if they want it. It is no good to me!
