So, after sharing the limited bandwidth on their servers with all of you yesterday, I was able to preorder two iPhones on Apple's website, reserve two iPhones at the Apple store for the 24th, and order one iPhone from AT&T. I only need three iPhones for the three eligible lines.

However, I received TWO charges today for what appears to be TWO Premiere orders at AT&T. I spoke to a nice rep who tried to cancel them, only to find out that the Premier department has to handle it (she's probably first tier or a rep for Personal accounts). As luck would have it, even though they've suspended preordering, Premier is still overloaded to the point where you're automatically disconnected while waiting in queue or talking to a rep.

One would think that a telecommunications company would effectively be able to handle something related to telecommunications.

This turned out to be one heck of a clusterf--k, and I'm out an extra $213. I hear that people are having trouble canceling their orders, others can with a refund of anywhere between 24 hours and 5 business days, and others looking to sell off the extra reservations and preorders, considering that they were only charged with the fully subsidized price.

I'm wondering how AT&T allowed the second order to go through at the fully subsidized price, and since I'm charged for both, will that be the end of that, or will they go after my card or account for the difference of an unsubsidized phone if it doesn't get activated on eligible lines?

What would you do in a situation like this?
