Foursquare and Instagram in FB timeline

I have this weird problem with my new iPad. When I check in with 4sq or upload an instagram photo to Facebook using my iphone, they appear in the FB timeline when I look it up on my iPhone using the FB app. Of course it also appears when I log on from my pc. It's only on my iPad that they do not appear in my FB timeline using the iPad FB app. When I log into FB using Safari on the iPad the 4sq check in and instagram photo show in my timeline. Anyone know why that is and if there something I need to do to get them to appear in the iPad FB app timeline?
