“I respect the Japanese and especially like their execution and communication styles. Unlike the Koreans, they will not hit you from behind,” Gou asserted.

Sounds like Gou had his jimmies rustled by Koreans in the past

He should be talking about the child labor they use instead.

1. I highly doubt they use child labour at FoxConn when the company has the eyes of the world on it.

2. What has that got to do with the iPhone 5 being better than the GSIII?

3. If they were using child labour, why the hell would the CEO talk about that to the public?

That is what he is expected to say because his company makes things for Apple, including the iPhone.

Yeah apparently there was a collusion between Samsung and Foxconn in 2010. However, in order to avoid paying a huge fine, Samsung ratted out Foxconn.

Business is business, Foxconn shouldn't take it too personally :p Especially using racist slurs in a speech to their shareholders.

They have nothing but 12 year olds working 20 hour shifts at FoxConn. Don't doubt, research it. I personally don't care who or what assembles my future iPhone. I'm still going to buy it.

Well, if it's in print, AND on the Internet, it must be true? Right?

Not saying this doesn't go on, but please. Enough with this crap already. Why not go on the DELL, HP, and Lenovo boards. They also use FOXCON...

Just like the 4S put the SGS2 to shame...

(This is coming from a 4S owner who previously had a SGS2 before getting his 4S)

Lol. I would hope it says that! Pretty sure since his company makes the iPhone, he knows all the juicy details. I want to be his assistant. Lol.

I lol'd pretty god damn good. :D Kudos

Interesting, I'm surprised he acknowledged the existence of an unannounced Apple product, while everyone knows its coming Apple usually will not acknowledge them and undoubtably would expect the same of their suppliers.

Gou also announced a joint venture deal with Japanese consumer electronics magnate Sharp that, according to the CEO, will allow Foxconn to beat Samsung in three to five years.
Beat them? They aren't exactly in the same business, and I thought Foxconn did some assembly for Samsung. Wonder what he means. Maybe translation issues?

CEO biased to defend his own company... no never... not possible  . Boards and shareholders from both companies (Apple and Foxconn) wouldn't be fond of anything else said ;)

Maybe some honesty in what he says. He sure doesn't seem to hold back when it comes to those pesky Koreans.

I'm confident that if FoxConn had "nothing but 12 year olds working 20 hour shifts" the backlash from the western world would be much more than a couple of delusional people...

As an Asian I can tell you that Asians, especially the older folk like the CEO in question, are incredibly racist. What he said is not considered to be politically incorrect.

News Flash----- CEO of company says product will be the best---- Says to wait and dont buy something else.

Well what do you expect him to do tell you the truth....

Thats like asking a barber if you need a haircut, you only get one answer....
