Hey guys,
I did a search on this but didn't find a thread that addressed the same issue, so if this is a report, please direct me to the previous thread.
Anyway, I have Macbook 1,1 (2Ghz Core Duo) running SL and I just upgraded the RAM from the original 2x512MB to 2x1GB (Kingston) and upgraded the original Seagate 60GB HD to a 500GB Western Digital. After the upgrade I booted from my external and then copied everything to my new HD. Then, I reinstalled Snow Leopard (not a clean install) and re-updated everything from System Update.
After all that, I ran a benchmark through NovaBench to compare to my previous system to my new one. After the run I noticed that the video card test was showing frame rates between 20-30 fps when when I was getting 50-60 fps on my rig, pre-upgrade.
So, I'm asking you for help. Does anyone know what could have caused the frame rate drop?
