Do you mean if you type 1/4 for it to change to ¼? That ability depends on the application you're using and how the preference is set.
Yes, that's right, But I cant see them in the keyboard view so what category to they come under, please.?
I think the only app I have that does it automatically is Microsoft Word.

You can set up, one fraction at a time, System Preferences>Keyboard>Text to replace 1/4 with ¼, and so on, automatically. Not sure that it will work everywhere, though.

The category is "Vulgar Fractions", but it's not in the keyboard view, it's in the Special Characters or Symbols dialog, typically found in the Edit menu of applications. Open that, type "fraction" into its search box, and double-click a fraction character to insert it.
