My cousin is planning to buy two new Apple laptops: One for his father and one for himself. The main reason for this purchase is so they can use Skype with each other at the highest quality picture and frame rate. He already bought two top-of-the-line Logitech QuickCam Vision Pro cameras. He already ordered fiber optic internet service for himself and his father.

So here's my question:

Would there be any difference in frame rate and video quality with Skype if they both were using two white plastic MacBooks with Intel X3100 integrated graphics instead of two of the latest MacBook Pros with 512MB dedicated graphics?

Thanks for any feedback! :)

Pretty sure the answer's "No."

The quality of the video is determined by how much data it can push down the tube (of which the internet is a collection of) rather than what the graphics processor is in the machine.
