FrameByFrame using external digital camera

i am trying to get FrameByFrame to recognize my canon g10 (fully installed on the macbook with everything on the CD that came with it). It persists in only using iSight.

using the canon software i can remote control the camera completely, but i guess FBF needs a driver installed to consider a USB connected camera.

any ideas?
