Framing off in iMovie project

I have some quicktime clips that I converted from flash .swf files. I'm trying to edit them slightly in iMovie. They seem to import fine into the Library in iMovie, but when I move them to a Project, the top and the bottom of the frame is cut off. Anybody know how to control this?

Have you got them in widescreen mode. Look at your import settings.
