Installed Franklin's updated connection manager for OSX 10.5.X. Installs successfully according to the dialog box. Then I get the message updating boot caches, once complete reboot occurs. Now comes the issue, I never get the new port detected screen, the modem does not show up on the status bar. The Franklin modem status app does appear in the applications folder. When plugging the modem into the usb port it briefly appears on the desktop and and shows mounted in finder but again only briefly. I know the modem works as I use it on my office pc laptop. The mac is my personal laptop. Any thoughts????? Service provider is ACS (Alaska Communication System). BTW I have tried the updated connection manager from ACS, Franklin and the one on the CDU-680, all 3 are version 160.
