Anyone use the nano SIM from T mobile on an unlocked 5 or 5S to get 200 MB free each month? How many voice minutes do you get?

The 200MB free is for tablets not for phones.

Phones come with a base of 500MB for the cheapest plan. After 500MB your speeds get throttled to 2G.

So if you put the SIM in, you won't get 200 MB free, but the same SIM in a tablet you do?

I tried putting in my sim from my iPad 3 that I just got on the 200mb plan into an unlocked iPhone 4 and couldn't get any service even trying a couple different apns.

They have different rate plans for Mobile Broadband (tablets) and phones. The sims are provisioned differently depending on the device.

So you cannot swap sim cards between tablets and phones.

Tmobile is smart enough to prevent you from grabbing that 200mb for phones.

Throttled to 2G? Dang. I thought the speeds were throttled to 3g

I was actually pretty surprised I didn't at least get the T-Mobile banner up top, said no service no matter which APN I used.

I tried more just out of curiosity, however sure would have been nice to have worked. A Free 200mb a month (and pay a bit more on the months you need it) portable device would have been a game changer - especially for those who who don't need voice or only use it enough that a VoIP service is sufficient.
