Free alternatives to LockScreen Info?

Are there any free tweaks that display info on the lock screen?
saw LockInfo, but i don't want to pay for something that i expect Apple might include in 5.0.

I saw Cydget, but that doesn't appear to be 4.2.1 compatible.

Depends on what you want to show on the LS, there are options but of course none of them are as configurable as LockInfo. Here's one, which with a bit of tweaking can include e.g. email etc. Spend hrs and hrs configurating or shell out a few measly $'s for LockInfo.
 
I have to say, no matter what Apple impelments into iOS5 for lockscreen info, LI will do it better. I say pay the $7 or however much it is now. You'll love it. LI 3.0 is still in beta and it has added features over the 2.x. Better and very stable.
 
I have looked and could not find anything that looked as good as LockInfo. I finally just broke down and bought it.
 
Strikes me as funny $600 phone, $100 monthly cell phone bill but will spend hours trying to find a way to save $5. Someone doesn't understand opportunity cost of time.

Look I try myself to find everything I can that is legally free. If not I have no concern spending the money.

think of it this way why would lockinfo be so recomended and have so many downloads if there was an equivalent for free that was legit?

lockinfo is the way to go
 
+1 for LockInfo

iOS5 would have to have some major killer features for me to not jailbreak. I jailbroke my 3GS a long time ago and it had bugs so I eventually just went with the regular iOS'. I recently jailbroke my iPhone 4 and there are soooo many awesome things out there!

LockInfo is definitely worth it!
 
Is it showing up for people on Cydia? I am looking for it, but not seeing it listed through search or on the modmyi source list.
 
in case you didnt know, LI has a built in message reading app called Infoshade. Pretty much its a drop down screen that lets you read your email and sms's without leaving your current screen. Say, your reading an article on Reader, i can swipe across the top (my activator settting) and it drops down so I can read an email that came in without having to leave the Reader app. then i can swipe again, and its goes away. Easy and no app switching needed.
