Hi there,

I used ID3 Editor from PA-Software a while back when I first got my Mac to edit the ID3 tags of my MP3's. It was simple and effective, allowing me to edit the information quickly and easy.

ID3 Editor is only a trial, so I was wondering if anyone could recommend a decent, free program that can perform similar functions?

Thanks, Jay.

Audacity does a lot of things with mp3 files, one of which is editing the ID3 tags. It's free:

I run mp3tag via WINE.

mp3tag is Windows software, but it works just fine with the WINE emulator. Create an icon for it (there are mp3tag icons available on various icon sites) and that's it.

Not sure if there's a native Mac editor that's as powerful as mp3tag. But I'm also open to recommendations...

Thanks for that! I was going to use Wineskin as a last resort, as I used mp3tag on my PC before I got my Mac - looks like it'll have to do for now :)

Do you just want to edit tags, or filenames too? Do you require tag look-up online?

I like Tagr. There's plenty listed at www.macupdate.com

Thanks! That's just the recommendation I was looking for :) I'll give a few different programs a try!

I just want to edit the title, artist etc. to my own preference and the album artwork too.

Tagr looks really nice. Is there a way to add more attributes (such as composer etc.)? By default, tagr only comes with a few attributes.
