Hey Everyone,

Was thinking about accessories for my MBP and I was thinking about the display port. What I want to do is when on vacations plug my MBP into the TV and show the pictures I took. I know Apple used to give them to you for free when you got a new MacBook or MacBook Pro. But since most were wasted, they stopped. So now, if you call Apple Support or whatever, can you get one for free per request? I really don't want to pay $30 for this little cable. If anyone has any knowledge on this...thanks! :)

LoL the only way you might be able to get something like this for free is maybe if you bought a unibody MBP and the 30" cinema in the same purchase, then complained that nobody told you you'd need an adapter.

But that's shady and irrelevant . Pony up the cash or go monoprice.com.

Yay!

I went down to the Apple store that is a few miles away, said what I had to say...story short, I got one! Apple takes all the little things, and try to make sure you are happy! :)

No, that doesnt...but I got the $30 Mini-Display to VGA, then I went down to the RadioShack next door (it's at a mall) and got a VGA to composite...and it works perfectly!
