Free audio and screen recorder?

Hello,

Is there a free audio and screen recorder out there that you can suggest to me? I found on other threads this same question and the answers point to free audio and screen recorders. The problem is that these are free for trial and during the trial, recording sound is disabled. I would like a recorder that for free can record both what happens on screen (chosen area) and sound via the mic.

Oh, yeah, if you are running Snow Leopard, then you can use Quicktime X to record.

Be warned, if you're planning to upload it to youtube it takes the audio away. I found this out the hard way...
