Fairly new to the Mac but does anyone know if there is a few (or inexpensive) audio application for the Lion that can handle .caf files?

Thanks in advance.

Apple loops come in a .caf format. Do you want to edit them? Convert into another format?

You can open them up in garageband and quicktime.

No these are sound effects used in computer games (iOS prefers .caf format). I need to edit them and re-save.

No - haven't really considered either of them sound effects editor.

I'll try it later today. Thanks.

Couldn't get Garageband to work but downloaded Audacity and it did the trick.
