Free Audio Program to download for MBP?

Are there any programs I can download for free on my MBP that will filter out vocals on a song or fliter out background music so you only get acapella of a mp3 song? Thanks

garageband..? It has an EQ you could do some thing with it.
Audacity is free.. it has some options.

basically, you filter at 500hz and 6khz and revers the phase of one channel.
