Why is the link/option still available on Apple's support page for the iPhone 4? I called today thinking I could still get one and I got a bs answer from a guy telling me that less than 1% are affected by the problem....I went into the Apple store and I tried holding like 5 iPhones and they all dropped to no signal, including mine. If Apple didn't recall, or even fix the problem, they should at least still be giving away those bumpers....they only take a dollar or two to make in China....Not complaining just bummed out to see my favorite tech company take that path. What do you guys think?

I called and got one after the promotion ended. I found the article on apple.com that states any customer can request a bumper if they are experiencing signal issues.

Exactly, as long as you show you are having problems with signal reception.

You don't have to show or prove anything if you call. They'll ask you if you're on the latest firmware bla bla bla after that doesnt fix it, they will send the bumper.

Well the guy I spoke to completely shot me down and told me that the promotion was last year and explained to me how only about 1000 phones have the problem. I guess my family's iphones and all of the ones in my Apple store are part of the 1000 ;). Should I call and try again? Are you sure you can still get one this late? What do they ask for?

Find the article on apple.com, then call again.

Be aware that some have reported that these apple bumpers actually scratch the iphone4's sides.

I use a rocketfish gel silicone cover. It protects the back and sides and stops signal drop.

What you have been told about this issue is rubbish !

It affects all iphone4's

It affects mostly left handed users who naturally hold it where the line is in the ariel.
