I just purchased an iPhone 4 for my wife today "October 6, 2010" and I decided to see if the Free Case Program App was still available for download. It was so we tried it out and I just received confirmation from apple via email that the Free case is set to ship out on the 21st for a delivery date of October 26, 2010. Confirmation receipt also shows $0.00. So it appears the Case Program is still fully Operational even though it is officially over.:D

I expect it is likely tied to the IMEI # of the iPhone corresponding to the manufacture date. Phones manufactured after the deadline probably will not be eligible to take part in the free case program. Just a guess.

That was my assumption as well. The phone I purchased has been in available stock at the store I got it from since the last week of September. Either way I think its worth a shot for anyone just now buying a new iPhone 4.

I just ordered my free case today. I bought my iPhone on October 14, 2010. I also received a confirmation receipt of 0.00$.

My phone was manufactured at week 40, which makes that the first week of October. I bought it the 9th. My free case should be delivered today.

I copped my iPhone in the middle of September brand new from a seller on Craigslist. When I attempted to use the app I was shut down. I didn't mind because I had already had another iPhone 4 that I bought and sold from release day that I had gotten a free case for.

They said they would let you get a free case if you contacted AppleCare about a problem.

Just received my Griffin Reveal Etch Graphite case through the program... got my phone on 10/11.

Got my email confirmation just now...

On first glancing at your thread title I thought you were talking about the Death Star :p
LOL, I'm glad you thought that, because I was going for the Star Wars, "Death Star" title theme! :D

My new iPhone 4 arrived today direct from Apple. The App let me order a free case just now, so we'll see if one actually arrives!

It was manufactured week 42, so very recent!

Just placed my order too! I used the program previously but had to get a new iPhone two weeks ago because it kept freezing up on me. I guess it's all based off the phones serial number?! Anyway it would be nice if it does come in. Placing an order and actually receiving it are two different things!!

Mine's a week 41, ordered a case from the app. Due to arrive on the 22nd, it didn't.... :(

Got mine working too, I got this iPhone on 21st October. I bought another 2 set with it too.

Do I need to use another 2 more different iTunes account to claim it?

I tried my gf's phone which we got it on 21st Sept and it state the iPhone not qualify for case program

An update on my free case:

Got the new week 42 iPhone delivered direct from Apple today, ordered the case, and it's already been shipped, all on day one. Result!

I might be picking up another iPhone. Anyone know if the free case program is still working?

Why it does not work for me ?? after installing the app via app store it says your phone does not qualify blah blah

I hacktivated my iphone and on apple website my iphone serial number is shown as an iphone 4 32 gb not activated.

Is that why ??

Um, Possibly. I know my phones were both activated when I used the Free Case App.
