Free Excel viewer?

Does Microsoft have anything such as the Windows software Excel viewer? I know there are open source apps like NeoOffice, but I was wondering if there is something by Microsoft.

just use numbers, it's free and converts excel files nicely

Just download and install the MS Office. If you don't activate it, it will become "viewer"...
